Clinton Presidential Center groundbreaking

The Clinton Presidential Center groundbreaking ceremony took place on December 5, 2001. Clinton announced his pick of the River Market site for his Library on November 7, 1997, choosing from among thirty candidate sites. He initially whittled a long list of candidate cities down to Little Rock on February 13, 1997.
Bulldozer operators began moving earth at the site on June 5, 2002.
