Sandwiching in History is a regular program of lectures and tours of historic landmarks and destinations in central Arkansas. The tours typically take place at noon on the first Friday of each month and last an hour or two. Sandwiching in History is sponsored by the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program of the Department of Arkansas Heritage. Many of the guided tours are provided by Rachel Silva, outreach coordination of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program.
The tours, which began in 1997, are free. A companion program that takes visitors on tours of other sites throughout Arkansas is called "Walks Through History."
