Block 2 Lofts is a 145 unit apartment complex in the historic River Market District of downtown Little Rock. The lofts were created from three historic buildings on the National Register in a redevelopment and restoration effort costing $21 million. Block 2 Lofts incorporates the Wallace Building and Democrat Printing and Lithograph Building, both constructed in 1924, and the Beal-Burrow Dry Goods Building erected in 1920. The complex contains 250,000 square feet of enclosed space, including 33,000 square feet of retail space. Commercial tenants include Gifts of Arkansas, The Coin and Stamp Shop, River Market Wine & Spirits, Firehouse Subs, the san Francisco Bread Company, On the Rocks, The Net, and the Arkansas Business Publishing Group.
The owner of the lofts is the Block 2 Limited Partnership. The developer is the Vanadis Investment Group. The firm that redesigned the original buildings was Fennell Purifoy Hammock Architects. The contractor was [{East Harding Inc.]]
