The Little Rock Historic District Commission is dedicated to the preservation and protection of historic sites and architecturally significant buildings and neighborhoods in Little Rock. The commission operates under the purview of the City of Little Rock. The city has sixteen designated historic districts on the National Register of Historical Places:
- Boyle Park Historic District (added 1995)
- Capitol View Neighborhood Historic District (added 2001)
- Central High School Neighborhood Historic District (added 1996)
- East Markham Street Historic District (added 1999)
- Governor's Mansion Historic District (added 1978)
- Hillcrest Historic District (added 1990)
- MacArthur Park Historic District (added 1977)
- Main Street Historic District (added 1977)
- Marshall Square Historic District (added 1979)
- Old Statehouse Square Historic District (added 1999)
- Philander Smith College Historic District (added 1999)
- Riverfront Commercial Historic District (added 1977)
- South Main Street Apartments Historic District (added 1995)
- South Scott Street Historic District (added 1999)
- Stifft Station Historic District (added 2006)
- Tuf Nut Historic Commercial District (added 2003)
The city planner with responsibility to the commission is Brian Minyard.
Meetings of the Historic District Commission are convened at 5 PM on the second Monday of each month in the Sister Cities Conference Room at Little Rock City Hall.
