Jacob Post founded Post Winery in Altus, Arkansas in 1880.

In the 1980s, descendants of Jacob Post started the Post Familie brand of wine. The Post Winery has become the largest grape grower and winery in Arkansas as well as one of the largest employers in the Altus area.
