Alcoholics Anonymous uses community meetings to create a fellowship of men and women who share their alcohol experiences with each other with the hope of solving the problem of addiction. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

The AA page for groups in Arkansas lists 859 different groups throughout the state (124 in Little Rock) that are conducting meetings. The website provides contact information, addresses, times of meetings, and specific group title. The mission statement for the state organization is "Our primary purpose is to carry the message to the still suffering Alcoholic."

Alcoholics Anonymous occupied frontage at 120 1/2 Main Street in 1952.
