The Little Rock Planning and Development Department has as its mission the encouragement of "quality growth, development and redevelopment and the stabilization of neighborhoods through a concentrated effort of planning, land use controls, Historic Preservation, permitting, and enforcement." The Planning and Development Department has three divisions: Building Codes, Zones and Subdivision, and Planning. The director of the department is Tony Bozynski.
