J. Marshall Robinson was a Little Rock physician and founder of the Arkansas Negro Democratic Association in 1928.
In 1944 Robinson helped overturn the legal prohibitions on black voting in Democratic Party of Arkansas primary elections under Smith v. Allwright (1944). Robinson also participated in the successful gubernatorial campaign for Sid McMath in 1949, securing over 20,000 votes.
