United Shoe Store occupied frontage at 701 Main Street in 1952. By 1982 the store had migrated to 515 Main Street.
United Shoe Store was operated by Theodore T. Abeles and his son Theodore T. Abeles Jr.. The family also owned Texarkana's Famous Brand Shoe Store. Theodore Abeles Jr. died in 1968.
