The Bank of Commerce was located at 113 Main Street in Little Rock the late nineteenth century. The bank was also the original occupant of the 1913 USO Building at the corner of Third and Main streets. The bank was owned by William B. Worthen.

The bank was known by various names, including the American Bank of Commerce and Trust Company, American Trust Company, American Southern Trust Company, and American Exchange Trust Company before its failure in 1931.
