The Arkansas RiverBlades were a minor league ice hockey team playing in ALLTEL Arena in North Little Rock. They were a franchise of the East Coast Hockey League operated by brothers Dave Berryman and Tim Berryman. The general manager of the team was Chris Cichocki, and the head coach was Geoff Ward.
The team was initially dubbed the "RazorBlades" and had a razorback pig mascot until a protest by the University of Arkansas led to a change in name and mascot. The RiverBlades played their first game at ALLTEL Arena on October 28, 1998. Their crosstown rivals were the Arkansas GlacierCats. The team hug up its skates in 2003.
