J. V. Zimmerman was a Little Rock, Arkansas, jeweler and watch repairman. Zimmerman was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, to William and Mary Zimmerman. He learned the jeweler's trade at Leibert & Brown in Norristown. In June 1857 he moved to Little Rock and worked with jeweler and watchmaker D. C. Fulton.
