The Reverend Helen Jean Pope Burton is the first female minister of the First United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Burton is a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where she graduated from high school. She received a bachelor's degree in speech therapy from Southern Methodist University, and a master's degree from Vanderbilt University. While enrolled in the MBA program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Reverend Burton became an active member of Pulaski Heights Methodist Church. She did not finish her master's of business administration at UALR and instead enrolled at St. Paul School of Theology.
