Tom Peterson is former Senior Vice President for Communications and Marketing at Heifer International. Peterson was involved in direct marketing, web development, and public and corporate relations for the nonprofit. He published hungerMovement.org and World Ark magazine. Peterson worked at Heifer from November 1992 to June 2011. Peterson is former editor of American City & County Magazine and president of Global Ink. Between 1980 and 1989 he edited Seeds. Seeds is a magazine dedicated to reducing world hunger.
Peterson received a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of Texas and a M.Div. from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
