Worthen Bank and Trust Company was founded in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1877. Worthen was acquired by Boatmen's of St. Louis in 1995. In 1997 Boatmen's was acquired by Nations Bank of Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1952 the bank occupied a building at 401 Main Street.
