J. V. Satterfield Jr. was a Little Rock banker and mayor of Little Rock from 1939 to 1941. Satterfield was past president of the Arkansas Municipal League in 1941, and also served on the board of the Little Rock Housing Authority.
Satterfield was president of the People's Bank beginning in the late 1940s. People's Bank was renamed First National Bank of Little Rock in 1953 during a move to new offices at the corner of Third and Louisiana streets. The bank eventually merged with Commercial National Bank, becoming known after the merger as First Commercial Bank.
