The Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism estimated that 19.9 million in-state and out-of-state visitors spent $3.92 billion dollars in Arkansas in 2002. Less than one hundred thousand of those visitors came from other nations. The international tourism market benefited from the opening of the Clinton Library, but still suffers from the lack of an international airport.
