The Queen Anne-style house was built for local realtor W.J. Turner. The home in 1917 was remodeled into the Craftsman style for wholesale hardware compnay vice-president [[Gus Lyon]]. When Lyon died the next year the home was sold to dry goods businessman [{William Back]]. The home was divided up into apartments in the 1950s, and restored as a private home in 1992.
