The plant housing SAS first opened as [[International Shoe Co.]] on May 10, 1947. Around 1977 the company closed and reopened as [[R.G. Barry]] shoe company. Around 1982 the plant closed again, reopening as San Antonio Shoes. &lt;br /&gt;
