New page

The '''Osborne Christmas Lights''' were the largest private display of holiday lights in the nation. The display was created by [[Jennings Osborne]] for the first time in 1986. Within seven years the display grew to three million individual lights. Highlights of the display included a giant globe that flashed the words "Peace on Earth" and Mickey Mouse driving a locomotive.

The light displays sparked a string of lawsuits. Since 1995 the [[Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights]] sponsors displays in thirty-two Arkansas cities.
