====History of The Old Gin====

Enderlin's Cotton Gin was established in 1907 by brothers [[Joe Enderlin]] and [[Amos Enderlin]]. The original building stood at the corner of Prairie and Chestnut streets. In 1929 Joe Enderlin and his son-in-law [[Charlie Seiter]] purchased the [[Otis Moore Gin]] on Markham Street. That gin was replaced in 1949 by the one that stands today, the Enderlin Brother's Gin operated by [[Henry Enderlin]] and [[Paul Enderlin]]. The final bale of cotton was ginned on site in 1972.
