Meadors is outgoing chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, a post he has held for the past ten years. From 1994 to 1999 he served as CEO and dean at Penn State Altoona. Meadors was born in Van Buren, Arkansas, and received his bachelor's degree from UCA in 1969. He is a past president of the [[UCA Student Government Association]].
