Mothers League of Central High

From FranaWiki

The Mothers League of Central High School was a segregationist organization formed in September 1957 to oppose the integration of Little Rock's Central High School.

The Mothers League sued to stop black students from attending the school that year, citing state segregation law and the potential for a violent response. The case was dismissed. The Mothers League also campaigned to remove all of the Little Rock School Board members except for Dale Alford.

The president of the Mothers League of Central High was Margaret Jackson.
