Personal History

Murphy was born in Conway, AR. His parents were Captain and Mrs. F. T. Murphy. He attended Little Rock High School, Arkansas Polytechnic College, and, from June 1942 through January 1943, Arkansas State Teachers College.

He entered the United States Army Air Corps on January 27, 1943.

He died in the Panama Canal Zone.
