Personal History

Ingram was born in Gurdon, AR on April 14, 1920. He lived both in Little Rock and South Carolina for some time. Ingram attended Arkansas State Teachers College (known as the University of Central Arkansas today) for three years before joining the Air Corps on January 5, 1942.

He was married to Wanda Gibson on August 19, 1942 in Boone, AR. He had no children.

Ingram was killed on November 8, 1944, while flying over the Himalayan Mountains. He was first buried in India, but was reinterred in Richmond, Virginia in a mass grave with three other soldiers.
