Valor The Bear.JPG

Valor is the name of the bear carved from a tree by Gary Keenan. The beautiful bear stands proudly in front of Wingo Hall, accompanied by a small plaque that helps tell his tale. Valor belongs to the Living Tree Memorial which spans across the campus grounds to honor UCA students who served during WWII. Valor is represented by a purple pawprint on the tree map, which can be accessed here. More information on Valor, including video interviews with the artist, can be found at http://uca.edu/black-bear/.
