Sgt. Sturdivant was born in Mission Viego, CA. He moved to Conway, AR and received his high school education through a home school program there. He attended Pulaski Technical College in Little Rock, but two years later transferred to the University of Central Arkansas where he studied mathematics. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
==Military History== &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In 2004, he received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy, but chose to enlist in the U.S. Army Reserve instead. On March 29, 2005 he joined the U.S. Army Reserve and attended the Special Warfare Training Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, as the youngest soldier to attend and graduate from there. He was a trained Civil Affairs Sgt. and was assigned to the 431st Civil Affairs Battalion, North Little Rock, a sub unit of the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
== Death == &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sturdivant was scheduled to return home just two weeks prior to his death. On January 22, 2008 Sgt. Sturdivant died in Kirkuk, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident during convoy operations at the age of 20 years old. &lt;br /&gt;

2nd Lieut. Liles was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Kristin Liles Quintanella. He attended Fountain Lake High school and attended the University of Central Arkansas where he earned a degree in liberal arts. In 2007 he entered the military and was a part of the 122nd Aviation Support Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, and the 82nd Airborne Division. He served in the National Guard, Army Reserves, and the U.S. Army as a paratrooper. Liles met and married Aubre Pachal Liles and had a daughter named Aurora. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
==Death==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
On November 13, 2007 2nd Lieut. Liles died in Bagram, Afghanistan from injuries suffered in a non-combat related incident. He is buried in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, AR. &lt;br /&gt;

2nd Lieutenant Stuart F. Kimbrough was assigned to the 416th Engineer Command, Team 28, of the U.S. Army Reserve in Fort Benning, Georgia. He participated in Operation Enduring Freedom. &lt;br /&gt;

Dustin Lee Kendall, a son of missionaries, was born in Conway, Missouri to Penny J and Brandi Kendall. Kendall grew up with four brothers and one sister, Courtney Steed. In 2002, he and his family moved to Bryant, Arkansas. He attended Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama then went to the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. Penny J and Brandi eventually moved to Europe four years later, but Dustin stayed in Bryant to continue attending UCA. An interesting fact about Dustin is he considered a career designing golf courses. Colleagues of Dustin said he was a favorite amongst regular customers at the Ruby Tuesday restaurant in Bryant.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
==Military History==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
At 21 years old, Dustin signed up for active duty after two years in the Army Reserve. Corporal Kendall was deployed to Iraq in November 2005. He was assigned to the Army's 1st Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division in Fort Carson, Colorado.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
==Death==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
On January 15, 2006, Corporal Dustin Kendall was killed in action in Baquah, Iraq while participating in [[http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/invasion/cron/ Operation Iraqi Freedom]]. His Humvee struck an M1A2 Abrams tank and rolled over. He is currently buried in Arlington National Cemetery.&lt;br /&gt;

Captain Gussie M. Jones was born in Forest City, Arkansas and graduated from Palestine High School in 1981. Then, in 1986 she attended the University of Central Arkansas. &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Jones joined the U.S. Army in 1988. After being selected for the Enlisted Commissioning Program at Syracuse University, she graduated from the program both as a registered nurse and second lieutenant. She served on the staff of the 31st Combat Support Hospital as a critical care nurse in Baghdad, Iraq. Her service spanned over 15 years. &lt;br /&gt;

Captain Jones died from noncombat related injuries while serving in Baghad, Iraq.&lt;br /&gt;

Johnson served in the Navy for three years. His last unit was the 5th Marine Regiment and his last rank was Hospital Corpsman Second Class Petty Officer. &lt;br /&gt;

Johnson was killed March 25th while attending to wounded colleagues in Iraq. &lt;br /&gt;

CPO Adam L. Brown was born in Hot Springs, AR to Larry and Janice Brown. He also lived in Virginia Beach, VA. He was a graduate of Lake Hamilton High School in Pearcy, AR. He married his wife Kelley and together they had two children, Nathan and Savannah. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
In 1998, Brown joined the Navy. He was apart of various East Coast-based SEAL teams and was deployed in many combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
==Death==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
On March 17, 2010 CPO Adam L. Brown was involved in a fight in with heavily armed militants in Afghanistan and died in combat. &lt;br /&gt;

Brown was awarded a bronze star and a purple heart. &lt;br /&gt;

Known as Donovan &amp;quot;Bull&amp;quot; Briley to friends and family; Briley was born in North Little Rock, AR to Bob and Alice Ann Briley. He grew up with two brothers, James and Daniel. Later in life he met and married Sharri L. Briley and together they had a daughter named Jordan. Donovan Briley graduated from flight school in 1985 and joined the Army Reserve. He served in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment nicknamed the &amp;quot;Night Stalkers.&amp;quot; In addition to serving during the [[Wikipedia:Somali Civil War| Somali Civil War]] he also served in the army in South Korea. During the Somalia War he was assigned as a task force ranger in Mogadishu. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
While participating in [[Wikipedia:Operation Gothic Serpent|Operation Gothic Serpent]] during the Battle of Mogadishu, Briley's helicopter was downed by enemy fire. &lt;br /&gt;

==Honor and Awards==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Donovan Lee Briley was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his actions during Operation Gothic Serpent on October 3, 1993. His awards also include two bronze stars, two purple hearts, two Air Medals with &amp;quot;V&amp;quot; devices, and two Air Medals. A memorial for Briley was erected on the grounds of Camp Joseph T. Robinson along with a street named after him.&lt;br /&gt;

Sgt. Sturdivant was born in Mission Viego, CA. He moved to Conway, AR and received his high school education through a home school program there. He attended Pulaski Technical College in Little Rock, but two years later transferred to the University of Central Arkansas where he studied mathematics. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

In 2004, he received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy, but chose to enlist in the U.S. Army Reserve instead. On March 29, 2005 he joined the U.S. Army Reserve and attended the Special Warfare Training Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, as the youngest soldier to attend and graduate from there. He was a trained Civil Affairs Sgt. and was assigned to the 431st Civil Affairs Battalion, North Little Rock, a sub unit of the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Sturdivant was scheduled to return home just two weeks prior to his death. On January 22, 2008 Sgt. Sturdivant died in Kirkuk, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident during convoy operations at the age of 20 years old. &lt;br /&gt;

2nd Lieut. Liles was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Kristin Liles Quintanella. He attended Fountain Lake High school and attended the University of Central Arkansas where he earned a degree in liberal arts. In 2007 he entered the military and was a part of the 122nd Aviation Support Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, and the 82nd Airborne Division. He served in the National Guard, Army Reserves, and the U.S. Army as a paratrooper. Liles met and married Aubre Pachal Liles and had a daughter named Aurora. &lt;br /&gt;

On November 13, 2007 2nd Lieut. Liles died in Bagram, Afghanistan from injuries suffered in a non-combat related incident. He is buried in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, AR. &lt;br /&gt;

Later in life he met and married Sharri L. Briley and together they had a daughter named Jordan. Donovan Briley graduated from flight school in 1985 and joined the Army Reserve. He served in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment nicknamed the &amp;quot;Night Stalkers.&amp;quot; In addition to serving during the [[Wikipedia:Somali Civil War| Somali Civil War]] he also served in the army in South Korea. During the Somalia War he was assigned as a task force ranger in Mogadishu. &lt;br /&gt;
