Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department

The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department's mission is to provide a "safe, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing and environmentally sound intermodal transportation system" for the state. The department is administered by the Arkansas State Highway Commission with six members appointed to ten-year terms by the Governor's Office.
The current Director of Highways and Transportation is Dan Flowers.
