Ray Abernathy is a spokesperson for the AFL-CIO’s Building Trades Department. Abernathy claimed that President Clinton had promised union representatives on April 4, 2002, that the Clinton Presidential Center building site would be built exclusively by union workers. Such a move is prohibited by Arkansas law.
Abernathy is married to Denise Mitchell, head of Public Affairs for the AFL-CIO.
